Dedication: To Aldous Huxley

Our first issue is dedicated to the memory of Aldous Huxley, who 30 years ago published Island, the novel from which we take our name. Throughout his life, Huxley constantly searched for new ideas and discoveries that he could integrate into his humanistic agenda and unique world view. In the generation since Island, there has been a constant stream of innovation that Huxley would have enthusiastically tasted and articulated.

And, with the accelerated rate of change we are experiencing in this decade, hold on to your hats. Island Views hopes to be there along with you for that wild ride into the new Millennium.
